This policy explains how Romeriksmat handles personal data when you use our website. We keep data collection to a minimum and do not sell your information.

Who is responsible
Romeriksmat is the data controller for personal data processed through this website.

What we collect and why
Contact & reservation form: name, email, phone, preferred date, number of guests and message. We use this only to answer your enquiry. The form opens your own email app and sends the message directly to us.
Newsletter: your email address, if you sign up. Used only to send you the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Server logs: the site is hosted by Vercel, which may temporarily log technical data such as IP address and browser type for operation and security.
Cookies
Necessary: we store your consent choice locally in your browser (localStorage) so we can remember it. This does not track you.
Statistics: with your consent we use Google Analytics to see how the site is used, in aggregate. It is only loaded after you accept Statistics in the cookie box, and not before. We do not use marketing cookies.
Third parties: fonts are stored on our own server. The producer films play from Vimeo, and are only loaded when you click to watch a film; we use Vimeo's Do Not Track mode so it does not set tracking cookies. The map link to Google Maps only opens if you click it.
Legal basis
We process data based on your consent (newsletter, optional cookies) and on legitimate interest or the performance of your request (enquiries, site operation and security).
Sharing and processors
We do not sell personal data. We use Vercel to host the website, and may use a form tool to handle form submissions. These process data on our behalf.
How long we keep data
We keep enquiries only as long as needed to follow them up, and delete them when they are no longer required. Newsletter sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to and port your data. Contact us at kontakt@romeriksmat.no. You may also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (datatilsynet.no).
