Mikel Duijnisveld, from garage to Norwegian Champion
Romerike Kaffebrenneri was started by Mikel Sebastiaan Duijnisveld in 2016, then under the name Mikel's Kaffeverksted. In 2022 he quit his job as a service technician and committed 100% to the roastery in his private garage at Skedsmokorset.
In 2023 he was crowned Norwegian Champion in coffee roasting. From 1 April 2025 the roastery has operated as a limited company.
Fair coffee tastes better
All the coffee is carefully selected with requirements for both a sustainable background and high quality. From farm to cup, fair trade secures the future of the coffee growers. Mikel roasts in small batches for optimal control and freshness, and ships coffee across the whole country.
