Kim and Grete, just the two of them, no employees
Kværner Gård sits a few minutes southeast of Gardermoen and is run by Kim and Grete Ruden. The entire farm is run organically, and every product is sold directly, no middlemen, no compromises on quality.
In Størhuset, the brand-new production kitchen on the farm, they make fillets, chops and sausages by hand. The fat takes on the flavour of what the sheep eat, giving the meat a character all its own that you won't find in shops.
A farm with roots from the Viking Age
Kværner Gård is one of the oldest farms in Ullensaker, mentioned in Bishop Øystein's land register around the year 1400 and founded in the late Iron Age. Today the property is home to over 100 sheep, 5 hens, 2 horses and a few beehives. Grete took over in 2002 and runs the farm together with her husband Kim.
